Watercolor Painting
5 week session
Sundays 2:00-4:00pm
March 6 - April 3, 2011
Through guided experimentation and exploration, this class will help you develop techniques and gain the skills to confidently paint with watercolors. By working from photographs, still life, imagination, and memory, the instruction will focus on individual growth and new approaches to creating images and visual ideas. You will learn about different kinds of paints, papers, and brushes, while projects will emphasize ideas about brush control, color theory, layering, and perspective. This class provides a foundation for artists to learn how to build a watercolor painting from the beginning sketch to the finishing touches, at the same time incorporating intuition and self-expression into your artwork. Each class will include demonstrations, examples and hands on instruction.
A short supply list will be given when you register.
