PRIVATE DRAWING LESSONS
The Adam Lister Gallery offers beginning to advanced private and small group drawing instruction for artists from age 8 years old and up. All lessons are geared around strengthening observational skills, individual growth, and personal interests. Every lesson will include a drawing demonstrations by the instructor, examples of finished artwork to view, and hands-on individual instruction as needed.
Each student gets to structure their own course outline, based on their preference of subject matter, art materials, techniques, and overall goals.
-Example subjects: Portraits, landscapes, animals, flowers, memories, abstraction, still-lifes, optical illusions, architecture, popular culture...
-Example art materials: Pencil, colored pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, chalk pastels, markers, watercolor, collage, ink...
-Example techniques: Drawing from observation, working from photographs, developing skills with perspective, values, composition, line quality, rendering...
These private lessons offer the time, encouragement and the creative nurturing atmosphere needed to advance your drawing techniques and build new types of creative approaches. Excelling at drawing can also help your confidence, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Private lessons are ideal for:
-Students needing to build their portfolios and skills in preparation for adavanced art classes, applying for scholarships, art schools or university programs.
-Students who want to advance their education with lessons in fine art, or who require more in-depth training in specific areas of drawing.
-Adults who wish to explore drawing, or to begin the practice for the first time, and prefer the privacy, support, and personalized instruction unique to private lessons.
-Anyone with a busy schedule that prefers the flexibility of private lessons.
-Anyone who wishes to improve their basic skills in drawing, and to realize their vision for artistic, educational and creative success with the help of an experienced instructor.

FEES:
one hour / one person lesson: $50 per student
one hour / two person lesson: $40 per student
one hour / three person lesson: $30 per student
MATERIALS:
The gallery will provide basic drawing materials for each lesson. Any additional supplies needed will be discussed.
DATES & TIMES:
Scheduling for your lessons is flexible, we offer weekday and weekend lessons in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. Be sure to contact the gallery in advance to set up your schedule and find out what times are available.
