Color: the figure and beyond
Oil Painting Group
In this class we will tackle the aspects of color: Hue, Value, and Saturation. Starting with simplified color studies we will progress into complex themes such as color relationships and harmony. The nude figure will be our subject. Eventually we will incorporate the models surroundings as well. We will work with simple still life objects as well as different colored lights to try to understand how light and color work and how best to mix what we see with oil paints.
